Hernandez, New York Sign 2-Year Pact

New York fans celebrated as word of a signing became reality. Hugo Hernandez won't be pulling up stakes anytime soon, as he has signed a 2-year extension at a pay rate of $1,580,000 per annum.
Since he is widely seen as an integral part of the club, New York officials had to keep Hernandez from jumping ship.
Hernandez has made 13 relief appearances this year and notched no saves. To date in 18.2 innings he has a 0-0 record, 3.38 ERA with 20 strikeouts and 5 walks.
