Elrod Records 9-0 Shutout Against Detroit Saturday, May 25th , 2002 Scott Elrod of the Washington Commanders toyed with the Detroit Lions, as he shut them out, 9-0, at Commanders Field. He was almost untouchable, twirling a 4-hitter with 5 strikeouts and 1 walk. "I'm sweating now because it's hot in here," Elrod said in the clubhouse after the game.
