Sigmon Socks Panthers in 8-4 Buccaneers Win
|
At Ericsson Stadium, the Carolina Panthers and Tampa Bay Buccaneers were greeted by an enthusiastic crowd.
Ryan Sigmon had a 4-RBI game, during Tampa Bay's 8-4 triumph over the Carolina Panthers. Sigmon contributed 1 single and 2 home runs to the cause. The Buccaneers go to 23-28, putting them third in the National Conference South.
Manny Guzman went 1-5, while adding 2 RBI for Tampa Bay. The 30-year old third baseman had a key at-bat in the top of the third. With one out and the bases loaded, he broke a 1-1 tie with a 2-run single off Bobby Villarreal. It was his 40th hit of the season.
Tampa Bay manager Justin Wilson commended his team for "putting the pedal to the metal."
