Down to Defeat Goes Tampa Bay, 7-4
The Washington Commanders beat the Tampa Bay Buccaneers by a score of 7-4. Washington second baseman Pablo Fierro deserved the lion's share of the credit. Fierro went 2 for 4 with a home run, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once for the Commanders. Washington reliever Adam Aksamit picked up the win, upping his record to 1-0. Antonio Reynosa took the loss. At 2-1, the Commanders have played well so far.

Fierro had a game-changing home run in the bottom of the seventh. On a full count fastball from Danny Dick, he banged a 3-run home run to right, giving the Commanders a 7-4 lead. It was the 1st home run of the year for Fierro.

"Our guys are never satisfied," said Washington manager Josh Garcia.
