San Diego Gets 3-1 Road Win
|
The umbrellas came out during the San Diego-Denver contest at Invesco Field at Mile High.
San Diego Chargers starter Eddy Canales pitched a good game to help his team take down the Denver Broncos, 3-1. Canales, now 1-2, was the winner. In 8 innings, he gave up 6 hits, while striking out 4, walking 0, and allowing 1 run.
San Diego used the hitting of Stephen Lambrecht to pick up the win. The second baseman clubbed a 2-run home run in the top of the fourth inning to put the Chargers on top, 3-1. For the game, Lambrecht had 1 home run and 1 single in 4 at-bats.
"I think every team will tell you that the pitching sets the tone, especially the starters," said San Diego skipper Manny Garcia.
The loss drops the Broncos to 4-7.
