Chargers Fall Short, 3-2, at Buffalo
|
In a tight contest between the Buffalo Bills and the Los Angeles Chargers, Eric Robinson was the determining factor. The Buffalo right-hander sparkled in his team's 3-2 win. Robinson picked up the win for Buffalo, going 8 innings. He gave up 2 runs on 6 hits. He now sports a record of 1-0. Los Angeles drops to 3-3.
Kelly Polen had a big solo home run for the Bills in the bottom of the fourth inning. With Buffalo leading 2-1 and the bases empty, he sized up a cutter from Eddy Canales, who was drafted in the 3rd round of the 2002 draft, and punished it. The result was his 1st home run of the season, which put the Bills on top, 3-1.
After the game, Buffalo manager Scott Scott applauded the team's effort. "They busted their humps out there," he said.
