10 Straight Wins for Chargers
The San Diego Chargers bested the Houston Texans by a score of 5-3, with first baseman Danny Vargas getting the main credit. On the day, Vargas went 2 for 3 with a double and a walk, while scoring 2 runs for the Chargers. San Diego reliever Jake Dudley picked up the win, upping his record to 1-0. Chris Lopez took the loss. The save was credited to Isaiah Wallace, his 10th.

Vargas contributed in the bottom of the third. With runners on 1st and 2nd, he hit a run-scoring double. It was one at-bat among others that helped San Diego get the win.

"The team always comes first," Vargas told a reporter while responding to autograph requests. "Our fans like to come out to see a win, so I'm happy to do what I can to give them that."

Losses have been few and far between for the Texans, now 20-9.
