Canales Silences Pittsburgh Bats
|
San Diego Chargers starter Eddy Canales worked his magic, to help his team defeat the Pittsburgh Steelers, 1-0. Isaiah Wallace was called on to finish, recording his 8th save. With the loss, Pittsburgh drops to 6-19.
In his 107-pitch effort, Canales allowed no runs on 5 hits over 8 innings. He walked 1 and struck out 7.
"This isn't football or hockey where you can overwhelm your opponents," Canales told the San Diego Chronicle. "Everyone gets 27 outs and we happened to make the most of them."
