Buccaneers Shut Out 49ers, 4-0
|
Seong-rae Jung, who is tied for 2nd in the NBC in wins with 4, never let the 49ers get in a groove. The right-hander used his bread and butter, his fastball, to pitch the Buccaneers to a win, 4-0. The loss drops San Francisco to 13-15.
Tampa Bay used the hitting of Joe Hartman to pick up the win. The left fielder clubbed a 2-run home run in the top of the fourth inning to put the Buccaneers on top, 2-0. For the game, Hartman had 1 home run and 1 single in 4 at-bats.
"Not too many highlights on our side," said losing manager Conrad Tunstall.
