Falcons Get One-Run Win at Washington
Starting pitcher Matt Mikles was a major factor in the 3-2 Atlanta Falcons triumph over the Washington Commanders. Chris Maria was called on to finish, recording his 7th save. The loss has the Commanders at 15-9.

Drew Grego, who is tied for 9th in the NBC in triples with 1, had a direct impact on the outcome. Grego contributed a run-scoring sacrifice fly in the top of the fifth inning to put Atlanta up, 3-1.

"Matt was hitting his spots and everything had life," said Atlanta manager Jake Hodgkinson.
