Commanders Slip Past Atlanta, 2-1
The Washington Commanders took Atlanta pitcher Juan Espejo's best shot and still were able to claim a win at Commanders Field. The final score had Washington getting past the Falcons, 2-1. Espejo went 6.1 innings and allowed no runs, striking out 2. Loys Marchand claimed the win after being brought in from the bullpen. The right-hander allowed no runs on no hits in 2 innings. His record stands at 2-0. The win puts Washington at 15-8.

Victor Barajas, who is tied for 3rd in the NBC in hits with 33, took Atlanta hurler Logan Potter deep in the bottom of the eighth. His solo home run put the Commanders on top, 2-1. In all, Barajas had 1 single in addition to the home run, while going 2 for 4.
