Buccaneers Mow Down Seahawks, 10-3
|
The Seattle Seahawks and Tampa Bay Buccaneers left the fans buzzing.
Behind a fine performance from Danny Torres, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers knocked off the Seattle Seahawks, 10-3. Torres went 2 for 3 with a home run and a walk, while scoring 2 times and driving in 3 for the Buccaneers. Malachi Watson got the win, improving to 1-2. He held the Seahawks to 3 runs on 6 hits over 6.1 innings, while striking out 4 and walking 3.
Zach Gray helped out the Tampa Bay cause in the bottom of the sixth inning with a run-scoring single. For the game, the catcher was 2-4 with 2 singles.
"If you don't take any pitches off, you've got a chance to impact the game, and that's what we did," said Tampa Bay skipper Justin Wilson.
With the loss, Seattle drops to 9-11.
