Panthers Come Up Short at New York, 3-2
|
The New York Giants picked up a win at Giants Stadium, topping the Carolina Panthers, 3-2. On the mound for New York was left-hander Jim Agin. He played a principal role in the triumph. The save was credited to Joe Hager, his 6th. Carolina drops to 11-6.
The Giants got a big at-bat from center fielder Tony Foreman. For the game, Foreman went 1 for 2 with a home run, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. In the bottom of the second, with a runner on 1st, he stroked a 2-run home run. His 1st home run of the season gave New York a 2-0 lead.
