Commanders Win Squeaker, 6-5, Over Rams
|
A good performance from shortstop Jason Earls helped the Washington Commanders defeat the St. Louis Rams, 6-5. Earls went 3-3 with 3 singles and a walk for the Commanders. Washington goes to 13-4 with the win.
Had Elijah Dodson not delivered a key base hit in the bottom of the eighth, the outcome might have been different. Instead, with two down and runners on 1st and 3rd, Dodson hit a run-scoring single. That made the score 6-5, in favor of the Commanders.
"We're feeling good in this clubhouse right now after that one," Dodson told the Washington Today.
