Bears Pull Off Thrilling 6-2 Win in Extras
|
Atlanta wasted an exceptional performance by pitcher Ian Terry, falling to the Chicago Bears, 6-2. Terry threw 8.0 innings of 4-hit ball for the losing team. Mark Schmidt snagged the win in relief. The left-hander allowed no runs on no hits over 1.2 innings. He's now 2-1 on the season. David Panzella earned the save for Chicago.
Isaiah Jones drew 1 walk for Chicago. The 36-year old third baseman had a key at-bat in the top of the tenth. With one out and the bases loaded, he broke a 2-2 tie with a run-scoring sacrifice fly off Logan Potter. It was his 15th RBI of the season.
"When I'm in the lineup, I always feel like we're going to win the game," said Jones.
Atlanta is 4-11 after the loss.
