Buccaneers Capture Close Win
|
The Tampa Bay Buccaneers took Kyle Sheehan's best shot and still were able to collect a win at Packers Park. The final score had Tampa Bay getting past the Packers, 3-2, in 16 innings. Sheehan over 6 innings allowed 1 run on 4 hits, while striking out 9. The loss puts Green Bay at 2-5.
Who knows how it would've ended, had it not been for Aaron Sandoval? The 28-year old second baseman Sandoval stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the 16th inning to put Tampa Bay up, 3-2. For the game, he was 3 for 8, including 1 double and 2 singles.
"The game is never over 'til it's over," said a jubilant Justin Wilson, the Tampa Bay skipper.
