Seahawks Collect 4-2 Win Over Eagles
|
The Seattle Seahawks picked up a win at Veterans Stadium, downing the Philadelphia Eagles, 4-2, in 15 innings. On the mound for Seattle was right-hander Jim Rooks, who played a pivotal role in the win. Alfonso Rodriguez earned the save for Seattle, his 1st. Philadelphia drops to 5-4.
Seattle needed the clutch hitting of Sean Jahn to seal the deal. The first baseman swatted a 2-run home run in the top of the 15th inning to put the Seahawks on top, 4-2. For the game, Jahn had 1 home run and 1 single in 7 at-bats.
"There's no quit in this team," said Seahawks manager John Pride.
