ABC Announces Player of the Week Monday, April 29th , 2002 When it came to hitting the baseball, Johnny Betancur was in a class by himself in the American Conference this past week. Nobody did it better. The outstanding right fielder for Cleveland tagged opposing pitchers for a .476 average and was voted the Player of the Week Award. Included in his stats were 10 hits in 21 at-bats, 1 homers, 5 runs scored and 7 RBIs. Betancur has collected 32 hits for the Browns this year, 6 of them home runs.
