Indianapolis's Vallelunga Diagnosis Revealed Tuesday, April 9th , 2002 Mark Vallelunga could soon be placed on the injured list. The Indianapolis shortstop told reporters that he expects to be "out of commission" for 2-3 weeks because of an oblique strain. He hasn't played since 04/06/2002 and, he said, he's "itchin' to get back out there." This season, Vallelunga has delivered 4 hits in 19 at-bats for a .211 average with 1 home run. He is getting on base at a .423 clip and his totals also include 2 RBIs and 4 runs scored. This year Vallelunga has played in 6 games. |
