Buss Has Nagging Injury, Listed DTD Monday, May 20th , 2002 Is Jesse Buss going to tough it out and play through an injury? We'll get the chance to find out one week as the outstanding San Francisco shortstop attempts to shrug off back tightness he sustained running the bases against the Minnesota Vikings. Whether management lets him play or handles him with kid gloves will depend mostly on how Buss feels on a day-to-day basis. But there's little doubt that the San Francisco 49ers will be happy for the talented player to return at full strength as soon as possible. In 46 games Buss is hitting .321 this season with 52 hits, 8 home runs, 26 RBIs, 19 walks, .393 OBP and has scored 31 runs. |
