ABC Honors April's #1 Pitcher Wednesday, May 1st , 2002 In April when the Buffalo manager wrote the name "Davila" on the lineup card, he knew he had a good shot at winning. Start after start in the month, Chris Davila took the hill, took charge and usually got the win. He dominated with a 6-0 mark and 2.38 ERA in 6 starts. The gifted Bills star pitched 41.2 innings, fanned 29 and held opposing teams to a .247 average. For his outstanding mound performance Davila was named the ABC Pitcher of the Month by the baseball writers. |
