Pittsburgh Falls Again, 4-3
|
Indianapolis Colts starter Victor Maldonado pitched well against the Pittsburgh Steelers at RCA Dome, leading his team to a win, 4-3. With their winning streak at 4, the Colts have raced to a strong start this season.
Josh Sargent had a big 2-run double for the Colts in the bottom of the fifth inning. With Indianapolis leading 1-0 and runners on 1st and 2nd, he got a sinker from John Tischler, the 18th overall pick in the 2002 draft, and swatted a double to right-center. It was his 7th double of the season, and more importantly, it put the Colts ahead, 3-0.
Said losing manager Nick Flanery: "The only way to escape your past is to be better than your past."
