Benjamine goes 4-for-4 in Jaguars Win
The home team gave the crowd at Alltel Stadium something to cheer about.

The Jacksonville Jaguars stymied the New England Patriots, 6-2, at Alltel Stadium. Josh Benjamine had a good day at the plate. He was 4 for 4 with a home run and 3 singles, while scoring 2 times and driving in 3 for Jacksonville. The Patriots fall to 5-7 and continue their sputtering start to the 2002 season.

Bill McCall had a big 2-run double for the Jaguars in the bottom of the first inning. With Jacksonville leading 1-0 and runners on 1st and 2nd, he got a fastball from Dave Hawley and swatted a double to left-center. It was his 4th double of the season, and more importantly, it put the Jaguars ahead, 3-0.

"We cashed in when we had the chance," said Jacksonville manager Fred Valdez.
