Dodson Slugs Texans to 8-6 Win
The home crowd had a good time watching the Cleveland Browns and Houston Texans get after it.

Jeremy Dodson impressed in the 8-6 Houston win over Cleveland. Dodson slugged 3 home runs. He scored 4 runs and drove in 5. Todd Rowe picked up the win, lifting his record to 2-1 on the season. He struck out 7 and walked 6 in 6 innings, while yielding 1 run. Keith Barnes wrapped it up, recording his 5th save.

Marcel de Kruijff had a big 2-run double for the Texans in the bottom of the eighth inning. With Houston leading 6-3 and runners on 2nd and 3rd, he got a sinker from 26-year old right-handed pitcher J.D. Sanchez and swatted a double to left. It was his 5th double of the season, and more importantly, it put the Texans ahead, 8-3.

In comments to the Houston Times, Dodson insisted that he's not as disinterested as it often appears. "Haters will hate," he added.

Houston, now 9-2, is setting the league on fire so far.
