Betancur Excels in 8-5 Cleveland Win
|
The Cleveland Browns defeated the New York Jets, 8-5. Doing his part was right fielder Johnny Betancur, who hit 2 home runs. He scored 3 runs and drove in 4. Adam Taute finished to wrap up his 13th save. Cleveland now sits at 22-25, while New York falls to 16-31.
With Cleveland leading 2-1 in the top of the third, Betancur hit a fastball from Omar Perez for a 3-run home run. It was his 12th home run of the season and put the Browns ahead, 5-1.
"We did a lot of good things tonight," said Cleveland manager Mike Watson.
