Texans Come Up Short at New England, 5-4
The Houston Texans could not turn a fine performance from pitcher Todd Rowe into a win. Instead, the New England Patriots prevailed, 5-4. Rowe threw 6.0 innings of 5-hit ball. Kevin Realmuto got the win, improving to 5-3. He worked 7 innings, giving up 4 runs on 8 hits, while striking out 4 and walking 2. Roberto Velazquez earned the save for New England, his 12th.

Adam Morrow went 1-2. He drove in 3 runs for New England. The 31-year old center fielder had a key at-bat in the bottom of the seventh. With one out and a runner on 3rd, he broke a 4-4 tie with a run-scoring sacrifice fly off Dennis Harris. It was his 7th RBI of the season.

New England manager Victor Santos called it "a good, solid win."

The first-place Texans dropped to 28-16.
