Steelers Post 6-4 Win Over Oakland
The Pittsburgh Steelers topped the Oakland Raiders, 6-4, at Oakland Coliseum. Pittsburgh first baseman Wilson Humphries was a spark plug for the offense. He went 2-5 with a home run. He drove in 3 runs and scored once. Sam Smyers, the winner, is now 3-2. He struck out 5 and walked 3 over 5 innings, while allowing 3 runs on 5 hits. Victor Hinojosa wrapped it up, recording his 1st save.

With Pittsburgh leading 1-0 in the top of the third, Humphries hit a cutter from Chris Schreyer for a 3-run home run. It was his 5th home run of the season and put the Steelers ahead, 4-0.

"We cashed in when we had the chance," said Pittsburgh manager Nick Flanery.

The victory makes Pittsburgh 14-29.
