Getting a good performance from left fielder Bryan Scholtes, the Jacksonville Jaguars defeated the New York Jets, 5-3. Scholtes was 3 for 4 with a home run and 2 singles, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once for the Jaguars. Tony Rada wrapped it up, recording his 10th save. At 24-17, Jacksonville is in second place in the American Conference South.

Jacksonville second baseman Daniel Pacheco contributed a timely at-bat in the top of the first. With two down, he hit a fastball to center field for a run-scoring single. It was his 31st hit of the season and put the Jaguars ahead, 3-0.

Pacheco called the win "a lesson in teamwork."
