Miami got a terrific performance from pitcher Tom Pacheco, but it wasn't enough to beat the Denver Broncos. Denver won the Pro Player Stadium contest, 1-0. Pacheco threw 9.0 innings of shutout ball for the losing team. The first-place Broncos have a one-game lead in their division.

Pacheco pitched a very strong game for the Dolphins, allowing 3 hits in 9 innings while striking out 5. It was all for naught, however.
