Bills Win, 3-1, Versus Patriots
|
Eduardo Valle was terrific for the Buffalo Bills in his team's 3-1 triumph over the New England Patriots. His performance earned Valle rave reviews. The winning pitcher was Valle, now 1-0. He tossed 5 innings of 3-hit ball, while walking 2 and fanning 3. The 'W' lifts Buffalo's record to 22-19.
The Bills got a big at-bat from pinch hitter Joe Conlin. For the game, Conlin was 1 for 1 with a home run. He drove in 3 runs and scored once. In the bottom of the fifth, with runners on 1st and 2nd, he stroked a 3-run home run. His 2nd home run of the season gave Buffalo a 3-1 lead.
Conlin called the win a testament to his team's "tenacity."
