Steelers Absorb 4-1 Loss at Gillette Stadium
Danny Sanchez brought his A-game to help New England defeat the Pittsburgh Steelers, 4-1. The Patriots, at 18-20, inhabit third place in the American Conference East.

The Patriots got a big at-bat from right fielder Carlos Martinez. For the game, Martinez went 1 for 3 with a double and a walk, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. In the bottom of the third, with runners on 2nd and 3rd, he stroked a 2-run double. His 9th double of the season gave New England a 2-0 lead.

"It was a tough night at the plate," said Pittsburgh manager Nick Flanery.
