Chris Davila, who is tied for 9th in the ABC in strikeouts with 42, imposed his will on the Colts from the get-go. Relying mainly on his fastball, the right-hander spearheaded the 4-1 Buffalo triumph. The winner was Davila. He threw 7.0 innings of 5-hit ball. The loser was Preston Roby. The win elevated the Bills to 19-18.
The Bills got a big at-bat from shortstop Jarrod Waterson. For the game, Waterson was 1-3 with a triple. In the bottom of the second, with a runner on 2nd, he stroked a run-scoring triple. His 1st triple of the season gave Buffalo a 2-1 lead.
"I just tried to make good contact," said Waterson.
