The Miami Dolphins defeated the Buffalo Bills, 5-3. Center Fielder Danny Werner deserved a large share of the credit. Werner was 4 for 5 with 2 doubles and 2 singles, while scoring 2 for the Dolphins. Marco Rivera, the winner, goes to 2-3. He allowed 3 runs on 9 hits, with 3 walks and 4 strikeouts over 7 innings. Brian Garrett wrapped it up, recording his 1st save.

Miami left fielder Joel McCormick helped the Dolphins go up, 4-3, in the bottom of the seventh inning. With the game tied, McCormick hit a run-scoring single off Buffalo pitcher Ruben Marcelo.
