Steelers Suffer 9-5 Home Loss
The New York Jets defeated the Pittsburgh Steelers, 9-5, at Heinz Field. New York was led by 26-year old second baseman Adam Michael, who was 3-4 with a triple, a double, and a walk, while scoring 2 runs. Pamphile Catenacci earned the win. Matt Rassi took the loss for Pittsburgh. Walt Martinez recorded the save for New York, his 8th of the season.

The Jets benefited from an error in the top of the third inning. New York was leading 6-3 when Chris Wehr hit a 2-run single that was misplayed. It put New York in front, 8-3.

"We believe in ourselves and we're willing to work hard. It's a good combination," Michael told the New York Observer.

The Steelers, at 7-24, have stumbled out of the gate.
