Cincinnati pitcher Joe Shea did his part in helping his team defeat the Buffalo Bills, 5-0. The opposition could never get too much going against the left-hander. In 7.2 innings, Shea surrendered 5 hits, while striking out 3 and walking 4. He allowed no runs. The loss drops Buffalo to 15-13.

With one out in the bottom of the second, Andy Burrows put Cincinnati in front, 1-0, with a run-scoring single. The Bengals went on to win the ballgame.

"I felt good. I felt like I was locating the ball well and I was able to keep them off-balance," said Shea.
