Colts Tuck Away 7-1 Win Over Cincinnati
|
Colts first baseman Ethan Martin left his mark on his team's 7-1 win over the Cincinnati Bengals. Martin, who is tied for 9th in the ABC in RBI with 20, was 1 for 2 with a triple and a walk, while scoring 2 times and driving in 3 for Indianapolis in the contest. Danny Salamone, the winner, is now 4-1. He struck out 3 and walked 4 over 6.2 innings, while allowing 1 run on 6 hits. The Colts raised their record to 14-11.
With Indianapolis leading 2-1 in the bottom of the fifth, Martin hit a curveball from Jason Cashwell for a bases-clearing triple. It was his 2nd triple of the season and put the Colts ahead, 5-1.
Said losing manager Cody Ray: "The list goes on and on of things we just flat out didn't do."
