5-2 Win for Houston Over Denver
|
Houston Texans starter Eric Snow turned in a top-notch performance against the Denver Broncos at Reliant Stadium. The result was a win for the Texans, 5-2. The winner was Snow. He threw 5.1 innings allowing 2 runs. The loser was Chris Sims. Picking up his 11th save was 31-year old right-handed pitcher Keith Barnes.
An inflection point occurred with no one out in the bottom of the third. That's when Texans center fielder Jeremy Dodson hit a fastball from Chris Sims for a 2-run single. Just like that, Houston was up, 2-1.
"I just tried to attack the bottom of the zone," Snow said.
The win gives Houston a record of 19-7.
