Bills Win at Oakland, 7-2
|
The Buffalo Bills defeated the Oakland Raiders, 7-2, in American Conference action at Oakland Coliseum. Kelly Polen pulled his weight. The 12-year veteran went 1-3 with a home run and a walk, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 2. With the win, Buffalo lifts its record to 11-11.
With Buffalo leading 2-0 in the top of the third, Polen hit a slider from Ruben Garcia for a 2-run home run. It was his 10th home run of the season and put the Bills ahead, 4-0.
"I thought we played a nice game," Polen told the Buffalo Chronicle. "Good pitching, timely hitting, it was all there."
