Led by Wilson Humphries, the Pittsburgh Steelers downed the Denver Broncos, 6-5. Humphries went 3 for 5 with a home run and 2 singles. He scored 2 times and drove in 3 for the Steelers. Pittsburgh reliever Rich Siegrist picked up the win, upping his record to 1-2. Zack Pulley took the loss. The Steelers with just their 6th win in 24 games, have played uninspired baseball so far.

Hideaki Kato helped out the Pittsburgh cause in the top of the ninth inning with a run-scoring walk. For the game, the catcher went 1-4 with a walk.

"Winning is hard sometimes," said Steelers manager Nick Flanery. "This one was nice to get."
