Jaguars Rally For Late Win Over Colts
|
The Jacksonville Jaguars faced a tough opponent in Indianapolis pitcher Bryan Allen, but did just enough to pull out the victory at Alltel Stadium by a final score of 5-2. Allen went 7 innings and allowed 2 runs. Dustin Johnson, credited with the win in relief, is now 3-0. He allowed no runs on 1 hit in 1 innings. Indianapolis is 12-11 after the defeat.
Jacksonville took a 5-2 lead on Juan Rodriguez's 6th home run of the season. The 3-run home run, which Rodriguez hit in the bottom of the eighth, left Indianapolis pitcher Justin Leah visibly frustrated.
"We're in a marathon, not a sprint," said Rodriguez. "But I like how we're playing right now."
