Wet weather did not postpone the Cincinnati-Miami ballgame.

The 7-5 Cincinnati win over Miami was due in large part to Juan Torres. The Bengals shortstop went 3-4 with 2 doubles, while scoring 2 runs. Jon Valles picked up the win with 5.2 innings of work. He allowed 3 runs on 8 hits, while walking 3 and striking out 5. On the season, he is now 2-2.

Sam Osborne had a big 2-run home run for the Bengals in the bottom of the second inning. With Cincinnati leading 3-1 and a runner on 1st, he sized up a fastball from 17-year veteran Marco Rivera and punished it. The result was his 4th home run of the season, which put the Bengals on top, 5-1.

"There's never a lack of effort in our clubhouse. We're willing to do the little things to get the win," Osborne told the Cincinnati Times.

The loss makes Miami 15-7.
