Baltimore Tacks 6-2 Loss on New York
|
The Baltimore Ravens defeated the New York Jets, 6-2. Shortstop Dan Corwin deserved a large share of the credit. Corwin was 2-3 with 2 singles and a walk. He drove in 2 runs and scored once for the Ravens. The win gives the Ravens a record of 12-12.
The Ravens had to work out of trouble with one out in the top of the sixth. The score was 5-2, Baltimore. But New York, with runners on 1st and 2nd, had mounted a threat. Mark Galica dug in at the plate. But on a 1-2 slider, Galica hit into a double play.
