Cowboys Top Cardinals in Extras, 6-4
Despite the exploits of second baseman Gary Hurley, the Arizona Cardinals were beaten by the Dallas Cowboys, 6-4, in 12 innings. Hurley was 3-5 with a triple, 2 singles, and a walk. He drove in 3 runs and scored once. Earning his 2nd save for Dallas was Tyler Ponticello. Dallas is now 22-26, Arizona 24-24.

Dallas used the timely hitting of Jose Contreras to seize the win. The catcher stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the 12th inning to put the Cowboys on top, 5-4. It was his only hit in 5 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.

"Sometimes winning takes more than 27 outs," said Cowboys manager Robbie Monroy.
