Falcons Win, 4-3, in Extra Frames
|
The Atlanta Falcons faced a tough opponent in New York pitcher Alex Perez, but found a way to pull out the victory at Giants Stadium by a final score of 4-3 in 10 innings. Perez went 7.2 innings and allowed 2 runs. New York is still trying to get off the schneid, having lost 6 in a row.
Atlanta relied on the hitting of Hector Lopez to pick up the win. The second baseman ripped a run-scoring single in the top of the tenth inning to put the Falcons on top, 4-3. For the game, Lopez had 1 triple and 1 single in 5 at-bats.
"We battled our tails off to get this win," said Atlanta manager Jake Hodgkinson.
