New York Upended, 5-3, by Seattle
|
Seattle right-hander Jordan Glenn pitched his team to victory over the New York Giants at Seahawks Stadium. The final score was 5-3. In 7 innings, Glenn surrendered 7 hits, while striking out 9 and walking 1. He allowed 3 runs. David Moreno earned the save for Seattle, his 10th.
Mike Jenkins had a big 2-run double for the Seahawks in the bottom of the first inning. With Seattle leading 1-0 and the bases loaded, he got a fastball from Steve Paradis, who is tied for 9th in the NBC in innings pitched with 47.1, and swatted a double to left-center. It was his 4th double of the season, and more importantly, it put the Seahawks ahead, 3-0.
Seattle manager John Pride called it "a pretty good win."
New York now has a record of 14-18.
