Vallelunga Lit, Colts Win, 5-2

The Indianapolis Colts finished off the Oakland Raiders, 5-2. Much of the credit belonged to shortstop Mark Vallelunga. Vallelunga was 3 for 3 with a home run, a double, and a walk, while scoring 2 and driving in 2 for the Colts. Danny Salamone, the winner, improved to 3-1. He held the Raiders to 2 runs on 6 hits over 7.1 innings, while striking out 3 and walking 3. The loss drops the Raiders to 9-12.
The Colts got a big at-bat from left fielder Matt Woolhouse. For the game, Woolhouse went 1-4 with a double and a walk. He drove in 2 runs. In the bottom of the sixth, with runners on 1st and 2nd, he stroked a 2-run double. His 4th double of the season gave Indianapolis a 4-2 lead.
"We'll hit the hot tub in good spirits tonight," said Vallelunga.
