Vikings Deal Cardinals 9-6 Loss
The Minnesota Vikings defeated the Arizona Cardinals in 10 innings, 9-6, in part because of catcher Mike Cook. Cook was 4 for 5 with a double and 3 singles, while scoring 2 runs for the Vikings. Minnesota reliever Odílio Cinza picked up the win to move to 1-2. Omar Ortega suffered the loss. Jonathan Plumb earned the save for Minnesota.

The game was all tied up in the top of the tenth, until Cook delivered big-time for Minnesota, stroking a dramatic run-scoring double off Omar Ortega. The game-changing hit put the Vikings on top, 6-5.

"That's a solid team effort right there," said Cook. "Everyone's feeling positive after that win."

The win gives the Vikings a record of 12-11.
