Alcala Hammers 2 Homers in 5-0 Win

Riding the 2-hit performance of the top prospect Jose Alcala, the Detroit Lions stopped the Seattle Seahawks, 5-0, in 9 innings. Detroit starter Casey Rader was credited with the win after throwing 108 pitches over 8.1 innings. His record now stands at 1-2. The win has Detroit at 9-13.
Early in the game, Alcala had a 3-run home run for Detroit. It was his 4th home run of the season and put the Lions on top, 3-0.
