Texans Pocket 5-1 Win Against Buffalo
|
The Houston Texans topped the Buffalo Bills, 5-1, in American Conference action at Ralph Wilson Stadium. The game was highlighted by the performance of Houston pitcher Jake Van Dellen. The winner was Van Dellen. He threw 8.1 innings of 6-hit ball. The loser was Carlos Sandoval. Now 16-3, the 2002 Texans have been phenomenal so far.
Jeremy Dodson helped his team jump on top from the get-go. His first time up in the top of the first, he cranked a run-scoring single to give Houston a 1-0 lead.
"We'll relax tonight and enjoy this win," said Van Dellen.
