New York Giants pitcher Steve Paradis was in fine form, leading his team past the Dallas Cowboys, 6-1. The Giants, now 6-3, have played some good baseball in the early going.

Paradis earned the win, going 8 strong innings for New York. The native of Deerfield Beach, Florida, allowed just 3 hits, while striking out 8. Dallas hitters did next to nothing against the right-hander.

"Steve was throwing strikes, locating well," said New York manager Walt Dierdorff.
